Flute Artists Competition

Prizes

  • I (Gold) & II (Silver) Prizes: Diploma, Medal, Trophy, and a performance at the winners concert at the Academy of Music Ballroom, Philadelphia, PA. The date of the performance: October 24th, 2020.

  • III (Bronze) Prize: Diploma, Medal, Trophy, and a performance at the winners concert at the Ethical Society Hall, Philadelphia, PA. The date of the performance: TBA.

Monetary Prizes

Monetary prizes will be awarded in all 4 divisions:

  • Div. I: $100

  • Div. II: $200

  • Div. III: $400

  • Div. IV: $800

* Judges hold right to award special prizes to two participants by dividing the monetary award or to refrain from awarding it altogether.

How to apply

  • Find an application form         , fill it out and submit it electronically. Please include an application fee, which could be paid through PayPal on the same page 

 

             or

  • Print out an application form and clearly fill out all information. Make a check of $100 (if you are a soloist) or $50 (if you are a member of an ensemble) payable to Triumph Music Festival. Mail it to:

  • Submit a high-quality video recording (YouTube link).

  • The competition piece has to be memorized. Chamber music is recommended to play with the music score. If selection of the music exceeds 6 minutes the additional fee of $50 will be applied.

 

Deadline for application submission is June 20th, 2020.

Concert fee

Concert fee (which is an application fee) will be paid by winners after the results of the auditions are announced.

Gold and Silver levels concert fee:

  • Solo performance: $200

  • Ensemble performance: $120

Bronze level concert fee:

  • Solo performance: $120

  • Ensemble performance: $90

 Deadline for the concert fee submission is August 25th, 2020.

The package includes:

  • Gold and Silver levels: Awards (Medal, Diploma, and Trophy), 5 complementary tickets, and 3 digital pictures

  • Bronze level: Awards (Medal, Diploma, and Trophy), 5 complementary tickets, and 3 digital pictures

 

Prize winners of monetary prizes are exempt from paying concert fee. Also, they receive 3 complementary tickets and 3 digital pictures as a part of the award.

Competitions age divisions

  • Division I: Ages 8-10 (Elementary Youth Artists)

  • Division II: Ages 11-14 (Junior High Youth Artists)

  • Division III: Ages 15-18 (Senior High Youth Artists)

  • Division IV: Ages 19 and older (Professional Artists)

Repertoire

  • Participants of Divisions I – II:

Submit a video (YouTube link) of 1 piece by any composer from Barocco, Classical, Romantic or modern period, no longer than 7 minutes

 

  • Participants of Division III:

Submit a video (YouTube link) of 2 contrasting pieces by composers from two different styles, no longer than 15 minutes

 

  • Participants of Division IV:

Submit a video (YouTube link) of a free choice program, no longer than 30 minutes
