As one of the leading and most vibrant music festivals in the USA, TMF continues to expand its artistic presence on the global stage by supporting the professional growth of young musicians and promoting excellence in musical performance worldwide.

The timing of the upcoming festival in Shanghai, China, has been carefully chosen to precede our two festivals in the USA, which will take place in October and November. This event will serve not only as a final performance opportunity, but also as an audition platform for the upcoming U.S. festivals. Young musicians will receive awards, participate in inspiring master classes, and enjoy a unique artistic experience through concerts featuring distinguished guest artists.

How to apply
Apply no later than August 1, 2026. The late fee is 50 USD.
The festival is open for instrumentalists, vocalists, chamber and piano ensembles, and composers.

Dr. Tatiana Abramova founded the Triumph Music Festival in 2017 and has served as its Artistic Director and adjudicator since its inception.

As a collaborative pianist and piano educator, Dr. Abramova remains actively engaged with contemporary approaches to piano pedagogy, performance, and composition. Her students have received top honors in numerous prestigious competitions, including the Philadelphia Orchestra Albert M. Greenfield Student Competition, the Steinway & Sons Junior Competition, the Kennett Symphony Instrumental Competition, and the Elite International Music Competition at Carnegie Hall.

Dr. Abramova has served as a piano instructor and chamber music coach at the Luzerne Music Center (Lake Luzerne, New York) and the Philadelphia International Music Festival. She has collaborated with talented young musicians in masterclasses presented by members of the Philadelphia Orchestra, as well as internationally renowned artists including violinist Midori and cellist Sheku Kanneh-Mason

.

Education and Artistic Development

Dr. Abramova began studying piano at the age of six. Four years later, she made her orchestral debut, performing a piano concerto by Joseph Haydn with the Krasnoyarsk Symphony Orchestra in Russia. The following year, she was admitted to the Specialized Music School for Gifted Children affiliated with the Novosibirsk State Conservatory.

She graduated from the Novosibirsk State Conservatory under the guidance of the distinguished pianist, educator, and Honored Artist of Russia, Professor Mary Lebenzon. Lebenzon was a student of Alexander Goldenweiser, one of the most influential figures in Russian piano pedagogy and the founder of the modern Russian piano school. Through his long tenure at the Moscow Conservatory, Goldenweiser shaped generations of performers and left a lasting mark on twentieth-century piano teaching and interpretation.

During her first year at the Conservatory, Dr. Abramova won the Novosibirsk State Conservatory Piano Competition in recognition of her exceptional artistry and technical mastery. As part of the award, she was invited to perform a solo recital at the Rubin Academy of Music in Tel Aviv, Israel.

In 2000, Dr. Abramova won the Novosibirsk Philharmonic Society Piano Competition. That same year, she performed piano concertos by J. S. Bach and Robert Schumann with the Novosibirsk Philharmonic Orchestra at the Bach Festival and the Classics and Modernity Festival. Both performances received critical acclaim and were recognized among the festival highlights.

Music critic Valeria Rozanova wrote:

“What immediately attracts attention in her performance style is its astounding naturalness and charm, the convincing integrity of feeling and thought, and the profound beauty and depth of sound.”

Dr. Abramova is a prizewinner of numerous national and international competitions, including:

  • Tenth All-Russia Piano Competition named after Vassily Safonov (Russia)

  • First Prize, D. Kabalevsky All-Russia Competition (Samara, Russia)

  • Tenth Città di Marsala International Piano Competition (Italy)

  • First Prize in both Solo Piano and Chamber Music categories at the Third International Piano Competition in Pavia (Italy)

  • Los Angeles Liszt Piano Competition

  • Heida Hermanns International Piano Competition (Westport, Connecticut)

  • MTNA State Competition (Texas)

In 2004, Dr. Abramova completed the Artist Diploma program at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas, where she studied with Dr. Tomáš Ungár.

In 2014, she earned the Doctor of Musical Arts degree from Temple University in Philadelphia, studying with Professor Harvey Wedeen. During her doctoral studies, she participated in multiple masterclasses led by the legendary pianist Menahem Pressler through programs organized by the Philadelphia Chamber Music Society.
